Acrylics on fabric 

Sunlight defines our natural world. And it defines our lives. Plants grow by reaching toward sunlight. Trees and limbs are defined by the light behind them. Patterns of light and shadow fill the spaces around us. A pleasing home is described as a light-filled space. Inspired by experimental printmaking patterns —  limbs in layers of translucent acrylic colors — I have created an environment of sunlight.

Hand printed and direct painting with archival acrylic paints. Original patterns created by screen printing and panting with stencils. Collage construction and machine stitching and quilting. Finishing: bound and fabric-backed. The back has a hanging pocket and a rod, for traditional hanging tapestry presentation. All collaging is with archival matte acrylic medium, (which is invisible) and also protects the surface.
