Our dreams take us to places— some real, some imagined. Some are a combination of places we have really been, or places we have really lived, mixed together with things that don’t belong there at all. Most interesting to me is the way our dreams are our attempt to make sense of things. They seem to recur until we have figured it out.

I am also intrigued with the things that trigger dream and memory. A day of quiet contemplation beside moving water. Who knows what thoughts that may stir?

This work is finished as an art quilt: fabric bound edge and fabric-backed.  The back has a pocket and slat for hanging display.

Techniques: Surface design using acrylic paints and stencils on cotton fabrics; collage, applique, transfer of original photos to fabric using acrylic mediums, direct painting on the assembled quilt, machine stitched construction and quilting.
