Can You Tell What’s Inside Through the Windows?
Sometimes You Can’t See In.

33.5”H x 47.5”W

Window-filled homes fill the space of this quilt. Patterns of textured and colorful fabrics mix with photo-transfers of the windows. But the houses are filled with unexpected images and the windows do not allow use to see inside.

The work is created with archival acrylic paints and mediums on fabric. Image-making includes monotype printing, resists, stenciling, direct painting, and photo transfers on muslin. Collaged and sewn construction with surface machine stitching for texture. The surface is sealed with a coating of acrylic medium.

Finishing: bound and backed with eco-felt fabric. The back has a hanging pocket and a rod, for traditional hanging tapestry presentation.
